1. Event and organizer
This waiver applies to the Natural Strongman Competition held on 20 February 2027 at Rebellion Strength, Strada Bucovinei 49, Timișoara, Timiș, Romania (the “Event”). The Event is organized by REBELLION GYM S.R.L., trading as Rebellion Strength, Romanian tax identification number (CUI) 50529173 (the “Organizer”).
Participation is restricted to adults. The Organizer may refuse or withdraw entry where eligibility, safety, anti-doping, payment or competition requirements are not met.
2. Acknowledgement and assumption of risk
I understand that strongman training and competition are strenuous and inherently hazardous. Risks include, without limitation:
- lifting, carrying, dragging, loading, pressing or moving heavy and awkward implements;
- dropped or shifting equipment, equipment failure, slips, trips, falls and collisions;
- muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, bone, spinal, head, dental or eye injury;
- cuts, bruising, crushing injury, heat illness, dehydration, fainting and cardiovascular or respiratory events;
- the acts or omissions of other competitors, officials, volunteers, spectators or third parties; and
- serious permanent injury, disability or death, including risks that cannot be eliminated even when reasonable precautions are taken.
I knowingly and voluntarily accept the ordinary and inherent risks of participating in the Event, including the warm-up, competition, movement around the venue and use of Event equipment.
3. Health and fitness declaration
I declare that I am physically and mentally capable of participating safely. I am responsible for obtaining appropriate medical advice before the Event and for disclosing to the Organizer any condition, injury, medication or limitation that may materially affect my safety or the safety of others.
I will not participate while ill, injured or impaired by alcohol, prohibited substances or any medication that makes participation unsafe. I understand that the Organizer does not provide a medical examination or guarantee that participation is safe for me.
4. Rules, instructions and personal responsibility
I agree to follow all competition rules, equipment requirements, venue rules and reasonable directions given by the Organizer, referees, medical personnel and Event staff. I will use suitable footwear and equipment, inspect my surroundings, stop immediately if directed, and report unsafe conditions, injury or illness promptly.
The Organizer may modify, postpone or cancel an event or remove a participant where reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, anti-doping compliance or circumstances outside its control, subject to applicable law and any published entry terms.
5. Emergency care
If I am injured or become ill and cannot make or communicate an informed decision, I authorize Event personnel to arrange reasonable first aid, emergency medical assessment, transport and treatment. This authorization does not require a provider to act beyond their training and does not guarantee that medical services will be available. I remain responsible for my own medical and transport costs except where applicable law provides otherwise.
6. Natural Strongman anti-doping requirements
I agree to comply with the Natural Strongman anti-doping rules and procedures applicable to the Event, including any updated prohibited-substance list, therapeutic use exemption requirements and testing procedures communicated before or at the Event. The current policy is available on the Natural Strongman drug-testing page.
I understand that I may be selected for testing and may be required to provide urine and/or hair samples under an identity-verification and chain-of-custody process. Testing may include an A sample and, where applicable, a B-sample analysis or review. Refusal, evasion, tampering, a positive finding or another rule violation may lead to disqualification, forfeiture of results or prizes, suspension, publication of a sanction and other consequences allowed by the applicable rules.
Because anti-doping information may reveal health information or other special-category personal data, the registration flow must obtain my separate explicit consent using the wording in section 10. If I do not provide that consent, I cannot establish eligibility for this Natural Strongman Event.
7. Liability and limited release
To the fullest extent permitted by Romanian law, I release the Organizer, venue operator, sanctioning body, officials, contractors, volunteers and their respective directors, employees and agents from claims arising solely from the ordinary and inherent risks I have knowingly accepted or from my own failure to follow rules or instructions.
This is not a blanket exclusion of liability. Nothing in this document excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be excluded under Article 1355 of the Romanian Civil Code, liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or mandatory consumer rights. Each party remains responsible to the extent required by applicable law.
8. Event coverage and promotional media
I understand that the Event may be photographed, filmed, livestreamed or reported as a sporting event and that competition information such as my name, category, placing, results and any sporting sanction may be published where reasonably necessary for Event administration, integrity, reporting and the historical sporting record.
Use of my identifiable image or voice in advertising, paid campaigns, testimonials or other promotional material that is not necessary for ordinary Event coverage requires the separate optional consent in section 10. Refusing or later withdrawing that optional consent will not affect my eligibility or Event participation. Withdrawal does not make prior lawful use unlawful and may not permit removal from material already printed or irreversibly incorporated into published coverage.
9. GDPR privacy notice
9.1 Controller and contact
The data controller is REBELLION GYM S.R.L., trading as Rebellion Strength, CUI 50529173, Strada Bucovinei 49, Timișoara, Timiș, Romania. Privacy enquiries and data-rights requests may be sent through the contact method published on the Rebellion Strength website.
9.2 Data processed
The Organizer may process identity and contact details; age and eligibility information; registration, category, payment and attendance records; results and sanctions; communications; safety and incident information; emergency information supplied during registration or at the Event; waiver and consent records; photographs, recordings and livestream footage; and technical audit information needed to evidence online acceptance, such as the registration identifier, submission time and document version.
Anti-doping records, sample information, laboratory findings, therapeutic use information, medical limitations and incident information may contain health data or other special-category personal data.
9.3 Purposes and legal bases

Where the Organizer relies on legitimate interests, it balances those interests against the participant’s rights and uses only data reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
9.4 Recipients and processors
Data may be disclosed on a need-to-know basis to Event staff and officials; Natural Strongman or another applicable sanctioning body; the venue; registration, payment, IT, hosting, photography and livestream providers; sample collection officers, accredited or appointed laboratories and medical or emergency providers; professional advisers and insurers; and public authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law. Service providers acting as processors must act on documented instructions and apply appropriate safeguards.
9.5 International transfers
If personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the Organizer will use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with any required supplementary measures, or another safeguard permitted by the GDPR. Information about the applicable safeguard may be requested from the Organizer.
9.6 Retention
Registration, financial and waiver records are kept only for the applicable statutory recordkeeping and limitation periods and longer only where a complaint, investigation or legal claim remains pending. Safety and incident records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the incident and related claims. Anti-doping data is retained under the applicable anti-doping policy and privacy information provided for the testing process. Published sporting results may be retained as part of the Event’s historical record. Promotional material based on consent is used until consent is withdrawn or the relevant campaign and recordkeeping period ends.
9.7 Required and optional data
Identity, age, contact, registration, eligibility and acceptance information is required to enter and administer the Event; without it, registration cannot be completed. Anti-doping data and explicit consent are required only because Natural Strongman eligibility and enforcement cannot be administered without them. Promotional media consent is optional and has no effect on participation.
9.8 Rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, I may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of my personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent at any time for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. I may also lodge a complaint with Romania’s supervisory authority, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
9.9 Automated decision-making
The Organizer does not intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about participants solely by automated means.
10. Online acceptance wording
The registration page should present the following statements separately immediately before submission. The optional promotional consent must not be pre-selected.
I confirm that I am at least 18 years old. I have read and understood the Natural Strongman Competition Online Participant Waiver, Risk Acknowledgement & Consents, version 2.0 dated 30 August 2026. I knowingly accept the inherent risks described in it and agree to its rules, medical, emergency-care and limited-release provisions.
I explicitly consent to the collection and processing of health and other special-category personal data necessary to administer Natural Strongman eligibility and anti-doping testing, including sample collection, laboratory analysis, therapeutic use information, findings, results and sanctions, and to necessary disclosure to the recipients identified in section 9. I understand that I may withdraw this consent for future processing, but that without it the Organizer cannot verify or maintain my eligibility to compete.
I acknowledge that I have read section 9, the GDPR privacy notice, including the purposes and legal bases of processing, recipients, retention criteria, international-transfer safeguards and my data-protection rights.
I consent to the Organizer using photographs, video, audio or testimonials in which I am identifiable to promote Rebellion Strength and future events through its website, social media, digital advertising and printed materials. I understand that this is optional, does not affect my participation, and may be withdrawn for future use by contacting the Organizer.
11. Final provisions
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Romanian law applies, without depriving a participant of any mandatory protection that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in this document limits rights under the GDPR or other mandatory law.
